Our mission is to create a better future for all by connecting them to quality education and job placement opportunities. We focus on areas such as engineering, computer science and healthcare, to bridge the gap between education and the job market.

We provide a safe and supportive environment for our members to thrive and develop their skill sets. Our team of professionals are here to help every step of the way, working to ensure that everyone has the resources they need to succeed and reach their goals. Providing support and mentorship to each program participant. Join us in our mission to help people reach their full potential.

"The Opus Foundation serves a significant purpose by ensuring our community of tech, missile defense, and cybersecurity fields is diverse and prepared. Through their scholarships, training, and peer mentorship the Opus Foundation strengthens the abilities of a demographic that must overcome many barriers to gain a foothold in our STEM sectors and beyond."

Our Mission

To help transform our communities for a better tomorrow by diminishing cultural bias while strengthening the technical workforce, particularly in the engineering, computer science, and healthcare professions.

Our Vision

We will apply sociocultural activism, support, and practice to the issue of the underrepresentation of young disadvantaged socioeconomic groups in technology professions regardless of color, gender, sexual orientation, and ableism challenges that result in professional barriers and a lack of needed familial, social, or institutional support.

Initiatives

As an organization we are dedicated to supporting and empowering youth who are aging out of foster care. Through grants, scholarships, and mentorship programs, The OPUS Foundation aims to provide access to educational opportunities, employment resources, and a strong network of support for its recipients.

Foster Support

"23,000 United States teenagers become emancipated from, or "age out" of, the foster care system every year. Many enter adulthood without a safety net and find themselves with nowhere to go and few resources for achieving success in their adult lives."

Our goal is to develop programs and resources to support these individuals through mentoring, career building, college selection, application processing, and scholarships.

We offer individual mentoring and life skills services including:

Financial Planning and Living Expenses - opening a bank account, different account fees, how to create a budget, the importance of credit scores, and paying taxes.

Seminars - "Looking for a Technical Career"

Careers -  search process: resume building, job applications, interviews.

Secondary Education Support - study skills and tutoring.

Post Secondary Education - vocational tech education application process. College applications and plan of study.

Housing - leases, home security.
